The Clinical Trials Nursing Specialist is responsible for executing fundamental nursing practices, overseeing study coordination, and managing data with a primary emphasis on subject recruitment and enrollment. This role ensures adherence to study protocols, data integrity, and compliance with regulatory standards and reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Collect and accurately document clinical data from study participants.
2. Provide comprehensive patient education regarding research studies.
3. Facilitate informed consent processes and support participant enrollment in clinical trials.
4. Collaborate with consortium members, organize meetings, and maintain communication with participating institutions.
5. Track and record study progress, schedule meetings, and distribute minutes.
Qualifications:
Education:
Must possess a Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
Experience:
A minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience in a healthcare environment is required; prior research experience is advantageous.
Licensure:
A valid Pennsylvania RN License is mandatory.
Additional Requirements:
Covid Vaccination is a prerequisite for employment at Jefferson for individuals working within clinical settings or at the University. Candidates not currently vaccinated must receive the vaccination prior to their start date unless an approved medical or religious exemption is granted.
