Position Overview:
The Clinical Trials Nursing Specialist is responsible for executing fundamental nursing duties, overseeing study coordination, and managing data integrity. This role emphasizes the effective recruitment and enrollment of participants, ensuring adherence to study protocols, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Collect and accurately document clinical data from research participants.
2. Educate patients about the specifics and expectations of the research study.
3. Facilitate the informed consent process and assist in participant enrollment for clinical trials.
4. Collaborate with consortium members, organize meetings, and maintain communication with affiliated institutions. Track progress, schedule meetings, and distribute minutes.
Qualifications:
Education:
Must possess a Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
Experience:
A minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience in a healthcare environment is required. Experience in research settings is advantageous.
Licensure:
Must hold a valid Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) License.
Additional Requirements:
Covid Vaccination is mandatory for employment at Jefferson for individuals working in clinical settings. Candidates not currently vaccinated must receive the vaccination prior to their start date unless an approved medical or religious exemption is obtained.
