Job Title: Clinical Medication Specialist

Job Description:

As a Clinical Medication Specialist, you will deliver pharmaceutical care to patients in long-term care and institutional settings, prioritizing the highest standards of quality and safety. Your role involves assessing physician medication orders for suitability, dosage accuracy, potential drug interactions, and appropriate administration routes, while suggesting necessary adjustments to therapy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a comprehensive patient database and ensure relevant laboratory tests are ordered and interpreted.
  • Document all interactions and communications within the patient's medical records.
  • Establish and uphold protocols for the safe usage, storage, and disposal of medications, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Support healthcare staff in the procurement, management, and administration of pharmaceuticals.

Job Type: This is a contract role.

Work Environment: This position requires overnight shifts, operating from 8 PM to 7 AM, with a schedule of 7 consecutive days followed by 7 days off.
