Job Overview

Baltimore Area Community Health Services, LLC is on the lookout for a dedicated Community Relations Coordinator. Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategies to establish and enhance partnerships with various organizations.
  • Inform community members about mental health issues and the services provided by Baltimore Area Community Health Services, promoting awareness and referrals.
  • Guide colleagues in leveraging their networks to boost organizational visibility and referrals.
  • Assist staff in identifying resources for clients by collaborating with external organizations and sharing valuable information.
  • Participate in presentations with referral partners, utilizing personal insights to create a lasting impact.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of community and organizational events, focusing on maximizing staff involvement and community participation.
  • Support initiatives aimed at enhancing staff engagement and teamwork.
  • Maintain regular communication with the Community Relations Manager to review progress and strategize accordingly.
Qualifications
  • Highly adaptable and flexible in a dynamic environment.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Effective engagement with both internal staff and external organizations.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license for community travel.
  • Understanding of confidentiality protocols and regulations.
  • Professional demeanor and positive representation of the organization in all interactions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to address various audiences.
  • Proficient in technology and communication tools.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Demonstrated reliability and ethical work practices.
Experience and Education
  • At least one year of experience in outreach, advocacy, or a related field is required.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related discipline is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in mental health or behavioral health settings is advantageous.
  • Experience working with diverse or underserved populations is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
