With over 2,600 members across five Maryland counties, we foster a community network where individuals support each other in daily tasks, promoting dignity and independence.

About Community for Life:

Community For LifeSM (CFL) is a pioneering program evaluated by the State of Maryland to demonstrate the benefits of aging-in-place services. CFL members receive essential services such as transportation, handyman services, and social engagement for a membership fee.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with Members: Proactively interact with CFL members to prevent social isolation and promote a sense of community.
  • Needs Assessment: Assess member needs and facilitate access to standard services, ensuring a seamless experience.
  • Resource Management: Identify and maintain a list of resources for service fulfillment, ensuring timely delivery of services.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Coordinate schedules and appointments for members, ensuring efficient use of time.
  • Training and Meetings: Participate in Service Navigator training and meetings to stay updated on best practices and program developments.
  • Volunteer Management: Manage volunteer backup lists and engage with local partners to enhance resources and support services.
  • Representation: Represent CFL at external meetings and conferences to support program growth and development.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with PIC/CFL colleagues to share best practices and innovative ideas, promoting a culture of excellence.
  • Database Management: Handle database entry, file management, and reporting, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Site Operations: Support site operations as needed, ensuring a smooth and efficient work environment.
  • Compliance: Comply with PIC/CFL policies and procedures, upholding the organization's standards and values.

Qualifications:

  • Leadership Abilities: Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a proven track record of success in a similar role.
  • Office Equipment Familiarity: Familiarity with office equipment and technology, including computers, software, and other tools.
