Position Overview


We are seeking a dedicated Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) to deliver Augmentative & Alternative Communication (AAC), Assistive Technology (AT), and Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) therapy and training services to individuals with diverse disabilities.

The ideal candidate will possess the flexibility to travel to various locations across Central Maryland and adapt their schedule and caseload to meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate AT Setup and Training in areas such as physical access, cognitive support, and low vision.
  • Deliver AAC training services tailored to individuals with disabilities, following plans created by licensed speech-language pathologists.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to AAC and AT tools.
  • Support the preparation and organization of training materials and resources.
  • Document client progress through written reports as necessary.
  • Manage case responsibilities, including scheduling, billing, and service delivery.
  • Maintain accurate training logs with relevant data.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development in the field.
  • Travel to various counties, with travel reimbursement provided.

Qualifications:
  • Active Certification as an Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) through RESNA.
  • General knowledge of AAC and AT devices.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Skills:
  • Proficient in oral and written communication.
  • Experience in AAC/AT service provision is preferred.

Requirements:
  • COVID-19 Vaccination.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Motor Vehicle Record with 2 or fewer points.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs. unassisted.

Physical Requirements:

Must possess audio-visual acuity to read small print and perform perceptual diagnostic assessments. The role requires the ability to reach, stoop, crouch, push, walk, stand, and lift 25 pounds.
