The RoleIn this role, you'll join our scaled systems mechanical design team and focus on architecting the next generation of carbonation equipment. You'll work on designing parts for various manufacturing processes, including sheet metal stamping, injection molding, and thermoforming. Your goal will be to create cost-efficient, robust, and high-quality designs that meet our scalability and reliability requirements.
Responsibilities- Lead the development of automation design modules within integrated lines through their entire product lifecycle.
- Select and integrate automation equipment, such as motors, actuators, and sensors, into subsystem designs.
- Design parts for various manufacturing processes, including sheet metal stamping, injection molding, and thermoforming.
- Work with suppliers and our supply chain team to provide design for manufacturing and assembly feedback.
- 5+ years of experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer with a background in automation equipment design and sheet metal/plastic part design for higher volumes.
- Experience with tools and methods like FEA, fatigue analysis, root cause analysis, and GD&T.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
