Clinical Research Director, Senior

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Director, Clinical Research to lead the development of clinical research programs in nephrology, rheumatology, and infectious diseases at Vera Therapeutics.
Key Responsibilities- Lead Clinical Research Programs: Develop and execute clinical research strategies to advance Vera Therapeutics' product pipeline in nephrology, rheumatology, and infectious diseases.
- Medical Monitoring: Serve as an independent Medical Monitor for clinical trials from Phase 1 through Phase 3, analyzing and interpreting clinical trial data to support development.
- Regulatory Submissions: Provide oversight and medical accountability for multiple trials across early development clinical lifecycle, serving as principal functional author for Regulatory submissions, study reports, and publications.
- Site Interactions: Manage site interactions in partnership with the Clinical Scientist for medical questions and education.
- Safety Oversight: Assess key safety-related serious adverse events in partnership with Global Safety and oversee contributions to safety narratives.
- Presentations: Develop and deliver strong presentations for internal and external communications, including Investigator meetings, DMCs, and Steering Committee meetings.
- Medical and Scientific Leadership: Represent the medical and scientific integrity of Vera Therapeutics, leading science-driven product development and informing clinically related corporate decisions.
- Publication Strategy: Lead publication strategy in close collaboration with relevant internal functions.
- Medical and Scientific Advisors: Lead interactions and build trustful relationships with medical and scientific advisors, building and maintaining relationships consistent with development and commercial objectives.
- Industry Trends: Keep track of and share the impact of trends in related areas of medicine and science.
- Medical Degree: M.D. with relevant medical experience in Nephrology or Infectious Disease or Rheumatology.
- Industry Experience: 5+ years of experience in the pharma/biotech industry.
- Clinical Trial Experience: Proficient in efficient design, conduct, interpretation, and presentation of late-stage trials.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Team Player: Team player and team leader, anticipating the needs of colleagues.
- Discretion and Confidentiality: High level of maturity, and ability to exercise good judgement, discretion, and confidentiality.
- Motivation: High motivation to make a difference.
Vera Therapeutics offers a competitive compensation package, including an anticipated base pay range of $307,000, annual performance incentive bonus, new hire equity, and ongoing performance-based equity.
