Role Description

EarthShare is on the lookout for a dynamic, communicative, and motivated intern to participate in both virtual and in-person charitable events this fall. As a representative of EarthShare, a positive and enthusiastic demeanor is essential. Your primary responsibilities will include engaging potential donors, distributing informational materials, and articulating EarthShare's role in workplace giving initiatives. These events are crucial to our mission of fostering environmental awareness and charitable contributions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage with individuals and groups at fairs, meetings, and campaign launches (both online and in-person)
    • Travel expenses for these events will be covered.
    • Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies is required for travel.
Candidate Qualifications:

The ideal intern should be a self-driven and dependable individual who can work autonomously with minimal oversight. This position is primarily remote, with most communication conducted via email and video conferencing. Office attendance is not mandatory unless otherwise arranged. The perfect candidate will be outgoing, comfortable in social interactions, and possess strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Experience in public speaking
  • Familiarity with environmental issues is advantageous.
  • Preferred location in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area.
  • Vaccination may be necessary for in-person event participation.
Compensation & Benefits:

EarthShare offers the following compensation:

  • Virtual Event: $25 per event (typically lasting 30 minutes to 1 hour, with possible tech testing required prior)
  • In-Person Event: $40 per event (generally lasting 2 to 4 hours, excluding travel time; travel costs will be reimbursed)
