About the Role

We are seeking an experienced environmental attorney to join our team at the American Coatings Association & PaintCare. As a key member of our regulatory affairs team, you will play a critical role in shaping our organization's environmental policy and advocacy efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to advance our organization's environmental policy goals, focusing on chemicals management and air quality issues.
  • Monitor and analyze federal and state regulatory and legislative developments, providing timely and insightful advice to our leadership team.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement effective advocacy campaigns, leveraging our organization's expertise and resources to drive positive change.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, industry partners, and environmental organizations.
  • Stay up-to-date on emerging trends and issues in environmental policy, identifying opportunities for our organization to take a leadership role and advance our mission.
Requirements
  • JD or equivalent degree in law, with a strong background in environmental law and policy.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental law, regulatory affairs, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of success in developing and implementing effective advocacy campaigns, with a strong understanding of federal and state regulatory and legislative processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
