Job Summary:
The Field Representative for Solar Outreach and Growth will be part of Uprise Solar's growing outreach team, working to reach all neighborhoods and sign up residents for solar, primarily through door-to-door canvassing. Canvassers are expected to set one to two appointments per day, aiming for 10 per week, and will build the processes, content, and systems to help achieve these goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct door-to-door canvassing to promote solar energy solutions to residents.
- Set appointments with residents to discuss solar energy options.
- Build relationships with residents to understand their energy needs and preferences.
- Collaborate with the outreach team to develop and implement effective outreach strategies.
- Work with the sales team to convert leads into sales.
- Provide excellent customer service to residents and internal stakeholders.
- Meet or exceed weekly appointment and sales targets.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on solar energy solutions and sales techniques.
Requirements:
- Minimum high school diploma and 3 years of work experience.
- Experience in community organizing, sales, political canvassing, or general outreach.
- Team player with initiative.
- Excellent communication skills and comfortable talking to strangers.
- Resilience and ability to handle rejection with grace and perseverance.
- Creative and self-motivated.
- Solution-oriented.
- The ability to work with data is a plus.
- Willingness to learn new software.
