Job Overview

This role involves the oversight, maintenance, integration, installation, troubleshooting, and repair of Earth Networks' environmental products and systems. The successful candidate will report directly to the Field Service Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee, maintain, integrate, install, troubleshoot, and repair environmental monitoring products and systems.
  • Conduct troubleshooting of various systems through on-site fieldwork or customer support via phone.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with both internal teams and customers to ensure objectives are met and issues are resolved promptly.
  • Implement data integrity standards to guarantee timely entry, accuracy, and consistency of data across all systems and digital tools.
  • Maintain project documentation to accurately reflect the status of ongoing projects.
  • Adhere to established standard operating procedures and practices.
  • Perform on-site tasks, including outdoor work such as climbing ladders, traversing rooftops for equipment installation, replacing faulty components, and upgrading existing systems.
  • Provide remote technical support and guidance to clients regarding product functionality and operation.
  • Analyze the consistency and accuracy of collected data to ensure system reliability.
  • Develop and execute a service plan for the territory to ensure optimal operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in a technical field or 1-3 years of experience in installing mounting hardware, sensors, cables, and related equipment.
  • Possess a proactive attitude and a commitment to completing tasks efficiently, often under challenging conditions.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and a strong interest in meteorology and environmental monitoring.
  • Experience with hand and machine tools, as well as construction skills such as concrete work and trenching.
  • Familiarity with electrical diagnostic tools and environmental sensors used in hydrology and meteorology.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and troubleshoot issues effectively.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to report progress accurately.
  • Willingness to work in various environmental conditions and travel as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in meteorology is advantageous.
