Position Overview

Role Summary

Under close supervision, conduct fundamental data research and financial evaluations to bolster business operations and communicate insights to the manager or project lead. Assist in the formulation of business, financial, and data analyses. Develop solutions to address challenges and concerns related to business operations. Gather and assess data to identify trends and outcomes.

  • Deliver fundamental analysis and reporting by collaborating with Inventory Management, Information Systems, Financial Audit, and other departments within the organization.
  • Evaluate scorecards, offering insights into trends or atypical performance. Assess market strategies, associated products, and market or share trends.
  • Structure plans and propose basic analyses and reports aligned with ongoing processes and procedures. Recommend, design, create, and implement standardized reporting for routine business documentation.
  • Ensure data accuracy, timeliness, and integrity in the information utilized for analysis and reporting. Notify relevant personnel if discrepancies in data are identified. Collect business intelligence from available industry reports, public information, field reports, or purchased sources.
  • Guarantee follow-up to ensure that analysis and reporting outcomes are reviewed and acted upon.
  • Support the unit or department by executing specific individual tasks. Conduct due diligence and transition activities as necessary.
  • Maintain and/or update business intelligence tools, databases, dashboards, systems, or methodologies.

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Mathematics, or Applied Statistics.

Relevant Experience

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., utilizing the SUM function, adjusting borders, setting column widths, inserting charts, applying text wrap, sorting, and managing headers and footers).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Access at an intermediate level (e.g., designing and creating simple queries, modifying data types, adding dates, working with required fields, and creating labels).

Additional Experience

  • Experience applying standard financial, accounting, and business problem-solving skills to complex business challenges.
  • Experience calculating figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, and volume.
  • Experience in an analytical capacity within a sales environment.
  • Familiarity with SAP; experience with FoxPro and Visual Basic is a plus.
  • Experience in financial analysis and data reporting.
