IT Applications Manager

Medline is experiencing significant growth, prompting the addition of a leadership role within our Information Services division.


The Embedded IT Applications Manager will oversee a team of developers tasked with designing, implementing, and maintaining innovative solutions for the embedded IT sector. This role will collaborate closely with the business to enhance processes, boost efficiency, and elevate customer satisfaction within our Distributed product division. The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of data management, automation techniques, and contemporary application development, alongside experience in partnering with business stakeholders. Additionally, they should have a proven track record of leading a team of 6-8 professionals in a rapidly evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of software engineers, providing mentorship, constructive feedback, and coaching.
  • Supervise the design, development, testing, and deployment of applications utilizing low-code platforms such as Outsystems.
  • Ensure applications meet high standards of quality, performance, security, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and stakeholders to define and prioritize the product roadmap and deliverables.
  • Establish and uphold best practices, standards, and processes for software engineering.
  • Monitor project progress, status, and issues, providing regular updates.
  • Identify and address any technical or operational challenges that arise.
  • Stay informed about the latest trends and technologies in software engineering and low-code platforms.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in software engineering, including at least 3 years in a leadership role managing a team of 6-8 individuals.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as .Net, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
  • Experience with databases, web services, APIs, and cloud platforms.
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with Robotics Process Automation and Business Intelligence.
  • Experience in developing applications using low-code platforms like Outsystems or similar.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and agile work environment.
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality, user-friendly products.
