Position Overview:

Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, the selected candidate will deliver Engineering and Maintenance support across numerous facilities within the organization. Collaboration with various stakeholders, including Manufacturing Directors, Plant Managers, Production Managers, Process Engineers, Technicians, and other operational staff, is essential to foster maintenance excellence initiatives, develop engineering solutions, enhance productivity, oversee significant projects, champion safety protocols, and address daily engineering and maintenance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in both large and small-scale projects with minimal oversight.
  • Support and promote Maintenance excellence initiatives within the facilities.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the company's processes, products, and machinery.
  • Lead major capital projects, managing all project management aspects including budget, schedule, status updates, customer interactions, and adherence to design objectives.
  • Assess new technologies and recommend alternative equipment and process systems, including vendor evaluations and selections.
  • Assist local management in identifying skill gaps among maintenance personnel and participate in the assessment and evaluation of maintenance candidates.
  • Be prepared to work flexible hours, including weekends and extended hours, and travel up to 50% as required.
  • Monitor project expenditures to ensure compliance with budgetary constraints.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Sciences, with a preference for Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent, with hands-on mechanical knowledge.
  • Proficiency in advanced computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, CAD, and project management software.
  • Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical systems, automation, and PLCs.
  • Familiarity with Allen-Bradley PLC 5, SLC 500, and ControlLogix controllers, as well as DeviceNet and Ethernet networks, HMI development, VFDs, and various field sensors.
  • Understanding of NEC (NFPA70), NFPA70E, and OSHA Electrical Safety standards.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Prior experience in Project Management is expected.

Compensation:

The annual base salary for this role ranges from $104,325 to $125,190. Eligible employees may receive an annual incentive based on the achievement of specific business and individual objectives, as determined by the company and department leadership. This incentive is discretionary, and the company retains full discretion over the award amount.
