TK Elevator is seeking an experienced Electrical Product Development Engineer to join our team in Germantown, TN. As a key member of our electrical product development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and analyzing electrical components of elevator systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Design electrical components and elevator systems, working under general supervision and relying on pre-established guidelines.
  • Technical Expertise: Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform assignments, and understand and apply the A17.1 elevator code as a basis for all designs.
  • Requirements and Specifications: Read and understand requirements and specifications to fully comprehend the systems required for the components being used, and generate designs per outlined requirements and specifications.
  • Manufacturing and Quality: Evaluate and produce designs for the manufacturing of hydraulic and traction elevators, adhering to all safety procedures and company safety standards while working in the lab and test tower.
  • Team Collaboration: Contribute to a team environment, adhering to the corporate compliance policy, and ensuring behavior in the workplace is that of a responsible professional.
  • Special Projects: Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
  • Experience: 2+ years of related experience preferred.
  • Skills: Comprehension of general electrical engineering concepts required, with experience in a lean manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Knowledge: Possess a good understanding of elevator systems and codes required, with excellent customer service skills, and demonstrated experience of working in a team environment.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), and demonstrated experience in using computer-assisted design software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Blue Beam/Adobe Writer.
