Position Overview:

As an Advanced Engine Component Testing Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of space travel. This position demands a strong commitment to safety and meticulous attention to detail, directly influencing the trajectory of space exploration. You will be part of the Blue Origin Engines division, dedicated to the design, development, manufacturing, and testing of propulsion systems. Our engines are designed for versatility, powering the next generation of rockets across various sectors including commercial, civil, and national security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance your expertise in Engine Component Testing, focusing on environmental assessments.
  • Support a range of tests including cryogenic, thermal, vibration, vacuum, shock, and pyroshock simulations for rocket engine components.
  • Contribute to the planning, creation, modification, and optimization of test sequences and operational processes.
  • Engage in component specification, selection, tool design, and testing to deliver high-quality hardware for diverse rocket engine programs.
  • Author and maintain comprehensive test plans and procedures, ensuring standardization across projects.
  • Oversee environmental testing within our facilities and conduct thorough data reviews, preparing reports for successful component qualification.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant technical experience in developing and executing test procedures.
  • Proficiency in using modeling and drafting software such as Creo.
  • Hands-on experience in both development and production phases of product lifecycles.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of engaging with both executive leadership and technical teams.
  • Familiarity with data analysis techniques and operational principles of rocket engines.
  • U.S. citizenship or lawful residency is required.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in component development and testing.
  • Ability to document and report test results effectively.
  • Knowledge of cryogenic systems and engineering experimental labs.
  • Understanding of fluid dynamics and mechanical/electrical components.
  • Hands-on experience with instrumentation and data acquisition systems.

Compensation:
