Role Overview:

The Apple Cloud Engineering division is seeking a talented software engineer to integrate and validate software, leading and orchestrating workloads across high-performance and energy-efficient systems that will drive the next generation of data centers.


In this collaborative position, you will play a pivotal role in various initiatives aimed at leveraging hardware acceleration for machine learning and high-performance computing tasks.

You will collaborate with teams throughout Apple to adapt, customize, and scale software on an innovative compute platform, contributing to the foundation of our future cloud architecture.

We are in search of an individual with proven expertise in constructing and managing scalable, resilient systems.

A strong combination of education and hands-on experience, along with a genuine enthusiasm for tackling complex challenges, is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
You will engage cross-functionally with architecture, platform design, SOC architects, and software teams to automate and validate exceptional hardware, software, and services.

Your responsibilities will include building and maintaining the system infrastructure that supports the next generation of data centers. You will ensure high quality and agility through unit tests, integration tests, and performance tests.


You will be tasked with designing, implementing, and executing test plans and test suites based on specification documents.


Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Strong proficiency in software development and testing
  • A passion for developing new features, automation, and maintaining existing code,
troubleshooting issues

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication skills and a passion for collaboration


Minimum Qualifications:
5+ years of experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test or Software Quality Engineer
Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as C/C++, Golang, Python, or Shell
Experience with automation and CI/CD pipelines
Familiarity with microservice architectures and deployment patterns in cloud and/or edge environments
Experience with cloud orchestration tools like Kubernetes, Nomad, Apache Mesos, or similar
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to diagnose issues, prioritize effectively, and propose solutions
- Experience with Swift, Objective-C, and Apple development tools is a significant advantage
- A strong interest in software architecture, APIs, and high-performance extensible software
- Creative, collaborative, and product-oriented mindset
- Exceptional communication skills
Compensation & Benefits:
At Apple, base pay is one component of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This allows for growth as you advance in your role.

The base pay range for this position is between $166,600 and $296,300, and your base pay will be influenced by your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees have the opportunity to become shareholders through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.

Employees are also eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount through the Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
