Job Overview

Position Summary

The Automation Test Engineer role focuses on leveraging proficiency in Rust and C/C++ to develop comprehensive testing strategies and frameworks. This position necessitates collaboration with various engineering teams to guarantee the reliability and efficiency of system drivers across both Windows and Linux environments. Ideal candidates will possess 5-7 years of experience in software testing and a strong passion for creating automated testing solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Expertise in Rust and C/C++ programming languages.
  • Development and execution of automation unit and functional test plans, including DevOps pipelines, scripts, and tests for Windows and Linux drivers as well as user mode APIs.
  • Designing and implementing scalable and dependable ADO DevOps processes, which encompass Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, and Continuous Validation.
  • Facilitating Release Integration and validation for system driver/software across multiple domains within server architecture by executing both new and existing tests, documenting bugs, performing root cause analysis, and applying firmware corrections as necessary.
  • Conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for intricate issues.
  • Establishing pipelines to ensure comprehensive validation and testing on devices available in client labs.
  • Monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving any ADO failures arising from this work.
  • Proficient in the installation and uninstallation of hardware and related software drivers and applications in a production setting.
  • Installing computer hardware components, such as network systems and routers, in a cloud server environment in close collaboration with other teams.
  • Assessing integrated computer hardware systems and components to verify functionality and performance.
  • Ensuring seamless integration of new software applications with existing computer hardware.
  • Identifying and addressing issues within hardware systems, including solid-state storage devices, rotational media, network adapters, and specialized security devices.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field is required.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in software testing.
  • Experience in developing test automation frameworks.
  • Proficient in writing applications for both Linux and Windows environments.
  • Experience in creating test documentation, including Test Plans, Scripts, and test results reports.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret test results, providing recommendations for improvement.
