Position Overview:

The CEFS Business Program Associate plays a pivotal role in supporting the operational functions of the Center for Environmental Farming Systems (CEFS). This position is integral in providing technical assistance and day-to-day customer service, particularly in grant management support services for program staff.

Key Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of the CEFS Business Program Associate include:

  • Grant and Account Management: Offer comprehensive support for various CEFS initiatives, including bookkeeping, maintaining timelines, and assisting in the development and submission of grant actions.
  • Transaction Processing: Manage and track financial transactions related to accounts receivable and payable, ensuring accurate reporting and record-keeping.
  • Professional Communication: Foster productive relationships with colleagues and external partners, providing timely and courteous responses to inquiries.
  • Data Management: Maintain systems for monitoring events and grant projects, preparing reports and data for presentations.
  • Meeting Coordination: Assist the director in scheduling and organizing meetings as required.
Additional Duties:

Participate as a Co-Wellness Champion for the NCSU Well Workplace initiative and undertake other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required. Candidates should possess:

  • Experience in bookkeeping and standard office procedures.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe, and Google Platforms.
  • Familiarity with data and financial management tools.
Preferred Skills:

Knowledge of accounting and budgeting processes, particularly within the university setting, is advantageous.

Licensure:

A valid NC driver's license is required or the ability to obtain one within 60 days of employment.
