Position Overview

The Mobile Program Coordinator plays a vital role in creating and delivering engaging programmatic experiences for both current and prospective members and volunteers. This position is centered around the Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSLE) and is dedicated to providing a consistent leadership development journey for girl participants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Implementation: Facilitate and execute mobile programming from the designated Mobile Program Vehicle to attract and retain girl members and adult troop leaders.
  • Program Innovation: Design and assess high-quality programs utilizing mobile resources to enhance participant engagement.
  • Outreach & Promotion: Collaborate with the mobile team to strategize and implement marketing initiatives aimed at boosting participation from both Girl Scout and non-Girl Scout communities.
  • Support & Development: Offer guidance to troop leaders in delivering the Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSLE) and ensure accessibility for all girl participants.
  • Vehicle Care: Oversee the upkeep of the Mobile Program Vehicle, ensuring it is clean and reporting any mechanical issues.
  • Program Assessment: Evaluate program effectiveness and work with the team to refine offerings in alignment with strategic goals.
  • Community Involvement: Stay updated on community dynamics impacting girls, volunteers, and council services, integrating these insights into program delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • Ability to effectively engage and collaborate with volunteers and diverse community members.
  • Experience in managing multiple projects and priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; bilingual in Spanish is advantageous.
  • Detail-oriented with the capability to work independently with minimal oversight.
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in public speaking and group presentations.
  • Access to a reliable vehicle and ability to travel as required; must meet state vehicle registration and inspection requirements.
  • Ability to occasionally lift or move items weighing at least 25 pounds.
  • Willingness to obtain a GSUSA membership upon employment and commitment to the mission and objectives of Girl Scouting.
