POSITION OVERVIEW:


The Music Education Program Coordinator will facilitate the implementation and management of music education initiatives for the National Association Of Music Merchants.

Key responsibilities include overseeing pre-concert activities for youth groups, organizing open rehearsals for secondary school students, and coordinating instrument demonstrations within the community.

The Coordinator will also offer administrative assistance to ensure the effective delivery of music education throughout the region, which encompasses Education Concerts, early childhood music and literacy initiatives, and in-school ensemble programs.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Organize reservations for Open Rehearsals for secondary education groups.
Administer Transportation Funding applications and processing for educational institutions.
Coordinate instrument demonstrations and volunteer efforts for Young People's Concert series, Summer events, and other outreach activities.
Facilitate Virtual Interactive Stage (VIS) and digital content to enhance statewide engagement and support online learning.
Provide administrative support for Education Concerts, including invoice management, ticket coordination, seating arrangements, and logistical planning.
Assist with early childhood and in-school ensemble initiatives as required.
Fulfill concert duties and other administrative tasks as necessary.
Travel to various locations and venues as needed.

ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS:
Willingness to travel and work outside of standard office hours (including evenings and weekends as required).
Applicants must possess legal authorization to work in the U.S. and maintain such authorization independently. The organization is unable to sponsor or assume sponsorship of an employment Visa.

As travel between locations may be a primary function of the role, administrative staff must hold a valid driver's license and have dependable transportation.

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) and a minimum of one year of administrative experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience working with K-12 music students and educators, along with a foundational understanding of the regional education system and music education standards.
Administrative experience, including invoice processing, handling time-sensitive communications, and managing correspondence.
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Demonstrated background in classical music and music education.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and Zoom).
