Job Title: Postdoctoral Research Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral research associate to join our team at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL). The successful candidate will have expertise in structural biology and be capable of conducting cutting-edge research on protein structure and function in Alzheimer's Disease.

Responsibilities:
  • Apply advanced technologies, including cryo-electron microscopy and mass spectrometry, to investigate the role of brain lipoproteins in the central nervous system and their impact on neuronal function.
  • Conduct research on protein structure and function in Alzheimer's Disease, with a focus on identifying molecular dark matter and elucidating its functions and impacts.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to identify biology-based solutions to address challenges in ecosystem science, the bioeconomy, human health, and biodefense.
Qualifications:
  • PhD in a relevant field, such as structural biology, biochemistry, or molecular biology.
  • Experience with cryo-electron microscopy, mass spectrometry, and protein expression and purification.
  • Strong publication record, including high-impact research, and ability to carry experiments from design to manuscript stage.
