Job Summary

The Human Resources Generalist is a key member of the Genova Diagnostics team, responsible for providing administrative and technical support to various functions within the organization. This role requires a customer-oriented individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruitment and Onboarding: Assist with the recruitment process, respond to requests for information, and coordinate interview schedules. Prepare new employee packets and gather and file new hire paperwork.
  • HRIS Administration: Input and access data in the HRIS database, maintain personnel files, and ensure the confidentiality of employee information and records.
  • Benefits Administration: Assist with employee benefit administration, support annual open enrollment activities, and respond to benefit inquiries.
  • Leave Administration: Assist with the administration of various leave programs in the absence of the Benefit Administrator.
  • Employee Recognition: Manage the employee recognition program and other employee events, ensuring timely and relevant information.
  • General Administration: Provide general administrative support to the human resources team, order and maintain department supplies, and collect and distribute mail.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Experience: 3 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in a similar role.
  • Certifications: Human Resources certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) and knowledge of HR laws and regulations is desirable.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs, particularly Excel and SharePoint. Experience with HRIS systems and report generation programs is desirable.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
