This is a full-time position primarily scheduled during weekdays, with occasional weekend duties or events as necessary. The HR Generalist may also receive calls outside of regular hours or need to support the night shift team as required. We are a rapidly expanding veterinary practice with a strong commitment to fostering a culture of learning and professional growth.

The HR professional will play a vital role in our management team, responsible for the following key functions:
  • Providing guidance on company policies and procedures to both employees and management.
  • Staying informed about federal and state employment laws and compliance standards.
  • Addressing and managing employee relations issues, including disciplinary actions and workplace investigations.
  • Monitoring employee morale and enhancing company culture.
  • Developing and overseeing talent management processes.
  • Collaborating with the broader HR team to implement effective recruitment strategies.
  • Facilitating new employee onboarding and orientation.
  • Assisting with benefits enrollment and related inquiries.
  • Conducting and analyzing exit interviews to identify trends within the organization.
  • Creating and disseminating internal communications regarding policy changes, benefits, or other company updates.
  • Maintaining accurate employee records.
  • Performing other HR-related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
  • Proven expertise in the human resources domain.
  • Comprehensive understanding of state and federal employment regulations.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance.
  • Proficient in managing employee and compliance records.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Capable of working independently or collaboratively within a team.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in employee relations.
  • 2-5 years of experience in recruitment.
  • Familiarity with HRMS/HRIS systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook).
  • PHR or SPHR certification is preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
