Role: Manager, Private Markets

Location Options: Atlanta, GA | Los Angeles, CA | Hybrid

Team Insights:

The Private Markets Accounting team comprises managers with extensive expertise in the administration of alternative investment funds, particularly focusing on Private Equity and Real Assets. They are responsible for formulating and executing strategic plans, including establishing functional priorities for the team and overseeing production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise teams delivering fund administration services to clients.
  • Manage the implementation and onboarding processes for clients.
  • Plan and oversee the preparation of both audited and unaudited financial statements, partner capital statements, and related work papers.
  • Exhibit knowledge of accounting principles and oversee the fund audit process.
  • Develop and maintain the internal reporting calendar for Private Equity business.
  • Review client deliverables, including realized and unrealized gains/losses, management fees, investor allocations, investment data, and partner capital allocations.
  • Oversee the review and maintenance of general ledgers, sub-ledgers, and trial balances for multiple fund clients, adhering to various accounting standards (IFRS/US GAAP/local GAAP).
  • Aggregate, maintain, and reconcile essential business and client metrics.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • 9+ years of accounting experience, particularly in Private Equity/Real Asset funds.
  • CPA designation and/or MBA is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other comprehensive bases of accounting, with a focus on investment partnerships.
  • Experience with Consolidated Financial Statements and Minority Interest is required.
  • Excellent client relationship management and project management skills.
  • Prior experience in leadership, training, delegation, and work review.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, capable of interacting with all organizational levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, with advanced Excel skills required.
