Senior Associate, Private Equity/Real Estate Accounting
Location: Hybrid

As a Senior Associate in Private Markets, you will be responsible for preparing and processing transactions and financial reports, applying sound judgment in the execution of accounting principles across various complex transactions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver precise and timely work products in alignment with established timelines.
- Prepare work paper files ensuring accuracy and completeness, covering capital activities, income and expense accruals, and investment activities.
- Update distribution waterfall (carried interest) models.
- Calculate management fees and prepare supporting schedules.
- Review transaction documentation and supporting files, gaining a thorough understanding of investment transactions and accruals.
- Conduct bank reconciliations and process journal entries.
- Support the year-end audit process in collaboration with team members, clients, and auditors.
- Engage with clients and counterparties, including legal counsels, auditors, and tax advisors, to meet critical deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field; CPA and/or MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience; experience with alternative investment funds, particularly in Private Equity/Real Assets, is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and comprehensive accounting concepts; familiarity with investment partnerships is a plus.
- Experience in preparing and reviewing general ledgers, work papers, and financial statements.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines and complete tasks independently.
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of interacting with all organizational levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills required.
