About the Role:

The Associate Manager, Private Markets Accounting position at SS&C Technologies is a key role in our Private Markets Accounting team. As a seasoned accounting professional, you will be responsible for supporting the development of team members, reviewing client deliverables, and serving as a primary liaison for book of business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Training and Knowledge Sharing: Provide technical training and share fund knowledge with team members to ensure they have the necessary skills to perform their duties effectively.
  • Client Deliverables Review: Review client deliverables, including quarterly financial statements, investment data, partner's capital allocations, fund net asset value, and applicable accrual bookings.
  • Book of Business Liaison: Serve as the primary liaison for book of business and work closely with external parties such as auditors, law firms, and tax advisors.
  • General Ledger and Sub-Ledger Maintenance: Prepare, review, and maintain general ledgers, sub-ledgers, and trial balances for multiple fund clients, according to various accounting standards (IFRS/US GAAP/local GAAP).
  • New Client Onboarding: Run and/or assist the implementation, onboarding, and setup of new client entities.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to and identify opportunities for the development and implementation of adequate and effective processes to improve the overall operations.
  • Client Deliverables Coordination: Actively plan, coordinate, and monitor the quality and timing of various client deliverables of the team, according to the operating memoranda/SLAs.
  • Business and Client Metrics: Aggregate, maintain, and reconcile key business and client metrics.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Experience: 6+ years' experience in accounting, focus on alternative investments funds.
  • Private Equity/Real Assets Experience: Private Equity/Real Assets experience, CPA designation, and/or MBA are pluses.
  • Accounting Knowledge: Knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other comprehensive basis of accounting, with an emphasis on investment partnerships.
  • Consolidated Financial Statements: Experience with Consolidated Financial Statements and Minority Interest.
  • Time Management and Communication Skills: Proven ability to manage time effectively and multi-task between shifting priorities.
  • Microsoft Office Suite: Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, advanced Excel skills required.
