Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Sales Manager to join our team at Steel Dynamics, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, driving sales growth, and executing sales strategies to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to understand their business needs and provide solutions that meet their requirements.
  • Sales Strategy Execution: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute sales strategies that drive revenue growth and meet business objectives.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay up-to-date with market trends and competitor activity to provide valuable insights to the sales team and inform sales strategies.
  • Account Management: Manage a portfolio of accounts to identify opportunities for growth and develop strategies to increase revenue.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and operations teams to achieve business objectives and drive sales growth.
Requirements
  • Sales Experience: Proven sales experience in a similar industry or role.
  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business principles and practices.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Travel Requirements: Frequent travel, including overnights, may be required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Field/ Territory Management Experience: Multiple years of experience in field or territory management.
  • Microsoft Office Experience: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
  • Outside Sales/Travel Experience: Experience in outside sales or travel.
  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in a related field.
