Job Summary

Curtiss-Wright is seeking a highly skilled Regional Sales Manager to lead our sales efforts in the Northeast United States. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to drive growth and revenue in the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Execute Sales Strategies: Create and implement sales plans to achieve revenue goals and expand market share in the Northeast region.
  • Manage Independent Distribution Network: Oversee and support our independent distribution network in the assigned territory, ensuring effective sales activities and customer relationships.
  • Conduct Sales Activities: Engage in sales calls, seminars, trade shows, and negotiation meetings to promote and sell Curtiss-Wright products and services.
  • Provide Technical and Commercial Support: Offer training and support to existing representatives, including RFQ preparations and product knowledge.
  • Manage Representative Network: Lead and manage the existing representative network to achieve company goals and objectives.
  • Negotiate and Close Contracts: Develop and maintain relationships with customers, negotiate contracts, and close sales.
  • Ensure Accurate Reporting: Maintain accurate customer files and reports in CRM, including key personnel, sales history, future opportunities, and competitive information.
  • Develop and Secure New Opportunities: Leverage existing business to develop and secure new opportunities, and execute business plans to achieve revenue goals.
  • Prepare and Submit Reports: Prepare and submit company reports by designated deadlines, and participate in company-sponsored training sessions, sales meetings, and divisional functions.
Requirements
  • Industry Experience: Must have established industry contacts and experience selling in the territory.
  • Education: Degree in Engineering or similar technical certificate required.
  • Minimum 5 Years Outside Sales Experience: Minimum 5 years outside sales experience selling Pressure Relief Valves is required.
  • Experience in Managing Independent Distributor Network: Experience in managing independent distributor network required.
  • Strong Computer Skills: Strong computer skills required.
  • Strong Understanding of Fluid and/or Process Systems: Strong understanding of fluid and/or process systems required.
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and combine a strong personality with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
