Job Overview

RPM ReSearch is seeking a highly motivated Technical Sales Representative to join our team in the field of in vitro technology. As a key member of our sales force, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities and driving sales growth in the preclinical research industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contacting prospective clients to determine their needs and interests in our products and services
  • Identifying new major customers and growing strong business relationships to drive sales
  • Conducting frequent contacts and on-site meetings with customers and potential customers to generate and qualify leads, assess opportunities, and propose and close sales contracts
  • Researching and developing account and opportunity plans for assigned accounts
  • Managing and attending industry trade shows, conferences, and seminars
  • Organizing and conducting regional technical sales trips to develop new client business
  • Assisting in the maintenance of our CRM database
  • Working collaboratively with the business development team, marketing, and administrative staff
  • Supporting marketing initiatives as needed
  • Ensuring all business development activities are included in our CRM database
  • Traveling to client business meetings, trade shows, and conferences up to 25%

Requirements:

  • Previous success in a technical sales role is preferred
  • Strong software and computer skills, including MS Office applications and CRM applications
  • Ability to manage competing priorities
  • BA/BS or MS in Life Science or Business, preferably
  • Knowledge of the preclinical research industry
  • Previous experience selling preclinical research services
