The ideal candidate will be proficient in using various legal and medical software to obtain necessary documents and maintain an efficient workflow. This is an in-office position that requires collaboration with other Medical Records Coordinators and Pre-Litigation Paralegals.
- Review medical and billing record affidavits for completion and identify deficiencies.
- Compile lists of medical and billing records, as well as lists of providers and missing records.
- Pursue collection of all medical and billing records submitted for each client.
- Notate file management system with comments on pending items and action items for workflow accuracy.
- Collaborate with Pre-Litigation Paralegals and medical records providers to obtain necessary documents.
- Manage medical liens.
- Work experience with software such as ChartSwap, Needles, and other legal and medical records software.
Requirements:
- High school diploma required; some college experience is a plus.
- Prior law firm experience preferred.
- Prior working experience managing medical records in a legal department.
- Proficient in use of computers, internet, social media, and relevant software applications, including Microsoft Office.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have experience in a busy professional setting.
- Must be well organized and adept in planning and multi-tasking.
- Attention to detail and highly organized.
- Must be able to take initiative on items.
