Overview

Nova Medical Centers is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Scheduler Coordinator to schedule patient appointments and manage electronic scheduling systems. This role requires strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Schedule patient appointments in a timely manner, ensuring accurate data entry into electronic systems.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, center leadership, and departmental leadership to address scheduling concerns and provide excellent customer service.
  • Resolve scheduling conflicts and barriers through collaboration with Center Directors and departmental leadership.
  • Respond promptly to patient, staff, and insurance requests, rescheduling or canceling appointments as needed.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor during all interactions, escalating issues to supervisors as required.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and the ability to communicate clearly with varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent (Required)
  • Bilingual - English and Spanish (Required)
  • 2 years of experience in the healthcare field with customer service experience.
  • Able to work a rotating shift schedule from 8 am - 5 pm and 11 am - 8 pm.
  • Strong computer skills and dexterity for data entry and patient information retrieval.
  • Excellent telephone skills and proficiency with Windows-style applications and keyboard navigation.
  • Presentation of information must be clear, concise, and professional to varying levels of individuals.
