Medical Records Coordinator Specialist

Townsen Memorial Hospital is a leading healthcare provider with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Records Coordinator to join our team.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure accurate and timely scanning of patient records and documents into our secure computer system
- Index documents to the correct patient folder and assign the appropriate document name
- Monitor and maintain the workflow of the processing unit, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of documents
- Perform quality reviews of prepping/scanning output, indexing, analysis, and client interaction work product
- Review assigned work daily and ensure timely processing of all assignments
- Prioritize work in accordance with established procedures and generate performance reports for management
- Associate's Degree in Health Information Technology or related field
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Knowledge of medical records components and completion requirements
- Familiarity with physician signatures and service codes
- Ability to type 40 WPM with extensive PC knowledge and skills
