Job Overview

Townsen Memorial Hospital is a leading healthcare provider with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Records Coordinator to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure accurate and timely scanning of patient records and documents into our secure computer system
  • Index documents to the correct patient folder and assign the appropriate document name
  • Monitor and maintain the workflow of the processing unit, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of documents
  • Perform quality reviews of prepping/scanning output, indexing, analysis, and client interaction work product
  • Review assigned work daily and ensure timely processing of all assignments
  • Prioritize work in accordance with established procedures and generate performance reports for management
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in Health Information Technology or related field
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Knowledge of medical records components and completion requirements
  • Familiarity with physician signatures and service codes
  • Ability to type 40 WPM with extensive PC knowledge and skills
