Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and patient Behavioral Support Specialist to join our team at Sevita. As a Behavioral Support Specialist, you will work with individuals with developmental disabilities in a group home setting, providing support and care to help them live a fulfilling life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, including assistance with daily living activities and behavioral interventions.
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans to help participants achieve their goals and live independently.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care and support to participants.
  • Assist participants with behavioral challenges and provide de-escalation techniques to promote a safe and supportive environment.
  • Document participant progress and provide regular updates to the team.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and behavioral challenges preferred.
  • Behavioral de-escalation training and knowledge of client rights and advocacy required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Ability to pass applicable background checks and maintain a valid driver's license.
