Key Responsibilities- Direct Support to Students: Provide one-on-one support to students with special needs, promoting their social, emotional, and academic growth.
- Participate in Activities: Engage in activities planned by our team, including instructional training and in-class support.
- Assist with Instructional Activities: Help prepare and develop instructional materials, and assist with in-class activities as directed.
- Maintain a Safe and Organized Environment: Ensure a neat and orderly classroom environment, and assist with maintaining a good learning atmosphere.
- Assess Student Needs: Work under direct supervision to assess student needs and provide feedback to our team.
- Provide Feedback and Support: Share observations and impressions of students with our team, and provide general support as needed.
- Work with Students Individually and in Groups: Provide instruction and support to students in small groups, whole groups, or learning centers.
- Assist with Technology and Adaptive Devices: Help with classroom technology, adaptive devices, and equipment as needed.
- Support Social Skills and Daily Living Activities: Assist with social skills, toileting, diapering, dressing, and hygiene.
- Administer Emergency Treatment: Provide emergency treatment when necessary, and follow established protocols.
- Supervise Playgrounds and Assist with Crisis Intervention: Assist with playground supervision and crisis intervention as needed.
- Work Cooperatively with Students and Staff: Collaborate with students, staff, and administration to ensure a positive and productive work environment.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent: Proof of a high school diploma or equivalent, or an A.A. degree with 48 college units.
- Paraeducator Exam: Pass the Paraeducator Exam or equivalent.
- Behavioral Therapist/Interventionist Experience: 1 year of experience as a Behavioral Therapist/Interventionist.
- Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) Training: Complete mandatory RBT training provided by our organization.
- BEAM Training: Complete mandatory training as designated by BEAM.
