Job Overview

Liberty Behavioral & Community Services, Inc. (LBCSI) is actively looking for a Behavioral Support Specialist to become a vital part of our dedicated team. In this role, you will engage with individuals experiencing behavioral and conduct challenges, offering essential support, guidance, and interventions aimed at enhancing their social and emotional health. Your contributions will be instrumental in crafting modification strategies, executing therapeutic approaches, and working alongside families and a diverse team of professionals.

We welcome candidates with varying levels of experience; LBCSI is prepared to provide training for those who demonstrate a strong desire to learn.

Work Locations: Various locations available

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct evaluations of client behavior utilizing standardized methods and observational techniques.
  • Design and implement individualized behavior modification strategies.
  • Deliver direct therapeutic assistance to clients facing behavioral and conduct issues.
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and the multidisciplinary team to formulate effective intervention strategies.
  • Track client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of client behavior, interventions, and progress in accordance with agency protocols.
Qualifications

To excel in this position, candidates should possess a minimum of 2 years of experience working with adults who have behavioral disorders. A solid understanding of behavior modification techniques and evidence-based practices is essential, along with strong communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team is also crucial.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is preferred.
  • A degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field, or 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in a community mental health environment.
  • Certification in behavior analysis (BCBA or BCaBA) is advantageous.
