Faculty Position in Cancer and Cellular Biology

Position Overview:
The Department of Cancer and Cellular Biology (DCCB) at Temple University is seeking applications for tenure-track faculty roles at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. We are particularly interested in candidates whose research addresses significant issues related to cancer causation and treatment, with a strong emphasis on lung cancer and cancer metabolism.
Research Environment:
The DCCB serves as a central hub for pioneering cancer research, offering laboratory facilities in close proximity to other departments that specialize in metabolism, inflammation, and therapeutic innovation. Faculty members often hold secondary appointments at the Fox Chase Cancer Center, gaining access to extensive research resources. Our mission is to foster interdisciplinary research that capitalizes on the strengths of our exceptional programs and to connect with other distinguished research and clinical initiatives.
Collaboration Opportunities:
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate with the Temple Lung Center, a leading institution in lung disease research, which serves a diverse patient demographic. Additionally, partnerships with thoracic oncologists and clinical researchers at Fox Chase and Temple, who lead national clinical trials, will be encouraged.
Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a Ph.D., M.D., or M.D./Ph.D. and meet the academic criteria for a faculty appointment at the rank of Associate or Assistant Professor. A demonstrated commitment to promoting diversity among faculty, staff, students, and patients is essential.
