Faculty Position in Aging + Cardiovascular Discovery Center
The Aging + Cardiovascular Discovery Center (ACDC) at Temple University is inviting applications for tenure-track faculty roles across all ranks, focusing on the intersection of cardiovascular health, aging, neuroscience, and metabolism. We welcome early-career professionals aiming for the Assistant Professor level, as well as seasoned candidates interested in an Associate Director position.
The ACDC fosters a dynamic research atmosphere, encouraging candidates who are passionate about uncovering the essential mechanisms behind cardiovascular and brain health. Established in 2023, the center is led by Dr. John Elrod and represents a merger of the Center for Translational Medicine and the Cardiovascular Research Center. Our faculty boasts a history of significant scientific achievements and a commitment to mentoring emerging scientists. The center's multidisciplinary research spans various domains, including vascular biology, cardiac function, neurodegeneration, developmental biology, and metabolic disorders. Collaboration and collegiality are key to our success, supported by multiple NHLBI project program grants and numerous co-principal investigator awards.
Facilities and Support: The ACDC occupies over 30,000 square feet of modern laboratory space within a cutting-edge research facility. Faculty members have access to advanced equipment, including a top-tier genomics core, imaging facilities, metabolomics expertise, and surgical resources. Successful candidates will find their research interests aligning with ongoing basic, translational, and clinical studies at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine and the Fox Chase Cancer Center.
