Senior Faculty Position in Cancer Biology

We are seeking an exceptional academic leader to join our team as an Associate Professor in the tenure track. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the advancement of our research and education missions in the field of BRCA-associated cancers.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and lead an independent research program focused on the mechanisms of tumor development and interception of BRCA1/2 mutation carriers.
- Teach and mentor graduate and undergraduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and other research trainees in the areas of human genetics and cancer biology.
- Collaborate with local, national, and international researchers to develop and coordinate NIH-funded grant efforts.
- Participate in writing grants, reports, and manuscripts, and contribute to the development of the Basser Center for BRCA's research agenda.
- MD or PhD or MD/PhD degree.
- Established reputation in the field of BRCA-associated cancers, with a strong track record of publication in peer-reviewed journals and independent research funding.
- Ability to develop and lead an independent research program, and to teach and mentor students and trainees.
- Strong commitment to the graduate and education missions of the University of Pennsylvania.
- Experience in developing and leading collaborative research programs.
- Strong publication record in top-tier journals.
- Experience in teaching and mentoring students and trainees.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
