Position Overview

The BAS/Commissioning Project Manager plays a pivotal role in the commercial mechanical construction industry. This position is dedicated to the design, engineering, and commissioning of building automation systems (BAS). The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in control systems hardware and programming, with the capability to oversee intricate projects from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct the comprehensive design of control systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications and mechanical system requirements.
  • Engineer sophisticated DDC (Direct Digital Controls) and PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems to fulfill project objectives. Develop intuitive graphical interfaces for end-users.
  • Manage the start-up and commissioning phases for building control systems, supervising technician work plans and processes to guarantee effective execution.
  • Ensure meticulous project documentation, including the updating of drawing sets, software programs, and as-built documentation. Engineer field modifications as required.
  • Conduct essential project management functions such as formulating job plans, scheduling labor, performing fiscal analyses, and coordinating project materials. Oversee foreign protocol integration and ensure timely and budget-compliant project completion.

Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge and skills in developing control programs, with a strong grasp of DDC Theory and Applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex information, data, and situations with precision.
  • Outstanding communication skills, capable of articulating technical information clearly to varied audiences.
  • Proficient troubleshooting abilities with the capacity to resolve issues autonomously.
  • Experienced in using AutoCAD and other project-related software. Familiarity with Bluebeam, MS Project, Trimble AutoBid, and Autodesk software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks is advantageous.
  • A degree in engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Experience in computer programming and building mechanical systems is essential.
  • A proven track record of stable and local work experience is preferred.
