Position Summary

The Building Automation Engineer II will rapidly acquire a comprehensive understanding of Veregy's Digital Services and Building Automation capabilities.

This role involves overseeing the development, design, execution, and enhancement of our digital services, which encompass various maintenance programs, energy analytics, and building automation systems.

The individual will ensure the prompt delivery of energy optimization services for building automation systems, manage the execution of digital service contracts, and oversee related software services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, program, monitor, maintain, and optimize building automation systems and user interfaces.
  • Engage in project development and cost estimation for diverse digital service and building automation system solutions.
  • Lead and manage building automation or digital service projects by coordinating progress meetings, supervising subcontractors, procuring materials, and managing budgets.
  • Address and resolve customer inquiries or occupant comfort issues related to building automation promptly.
  • Create and manage project timelines to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to provide a customer-focused, high-quality product.
  • Collaborate with internal project managers to ensure project expectations and execution standards are met.
  • Manage project budgets and report on progress.
  • Develop close-out documentation or system manuals for clients.
Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Software) from an accredited institution or a combination of education and relevant experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in building automation system design, implementation, and project management.
  • Preferred experience includes at least 1 year in building automation system project development or estimation.
  • Experience with Distech, Honeywell, or Reliable Controls is required.
