Position Overview:
Mujō, a modern edomae sushi dining establishment, is on the lookout for a skilled Senior Sous Chef to enhance our culinary team. Our intimate venue accommodates 15 guests and operates exclusively for dinner service. Alongside our signature nigiri sushi, we offer a thoughtfully crafted selection of small plates as part of our tasting menu omakase.

Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:
- Oversee the kitchen staff, collaborating closely with the head sushi chef to design a seasonal menu featuring zensai and otsumami.
- Maintain a pristine and organized kitchen environment, essential for our close-knit dining experience.
- Engage directly with guests at the counter, ensuring a memorable dining experience.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Experience in high-end dining establishments.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to thrive in an open-kitchen and chef's counter setting.
- Excellent communication skills, particularly while managing multiple tasks and guest interactions.
- A collaborative spirit, promoting teamwork and a positive atmosphere among staff and patrons.
- Proficiency in producing high-quality work efficiently and accurately.
- Capability to draft reports, business correspondence, and procedural documentation.
- Competence in calculating food costs, labor expenses, and other relevant figures.
- A commitment to food safety practices.
- Skills in training and motivating kitchen personnel.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
