Position Summary:

The Business Optimization team plays a crucial role in eliminating inefficiencies within our processes, enabling our store teams to provide exceptional service to our clients. This team is committed to enhancing operational excellence and serving as a vital advocate for our stores. In addition to streamlining processes, we oversee key platforms that deliver operational insights to both corporate and field partners. As a member of this team, you will have the opportunity to influence significant aspects of our business and contribute to making Sephora a beloved destination for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and propose scalable optimization opportunities for stores, develop business cases for suggested changes, and oversee the execution of proof-of-concept initiatives and pilot programs.
  • Lead project management efforts, conduct ROI analyses, and perform extensive data evaluations.
  • Assist in managing the labor model by providing data-driven insights and conducting ad hoc analyses. Execute work studies in stores to establish and maintain labor standards.
  • Conduct store visits to assess best practices, pinpoint optimization areas, and carry out time studies to enhance overall efficiency.
  • Build and maintain cross-functional relationships with corporate and field partners to gather feedback and align on critical recommendations.
  • Analyze operational performance challenges in stores and develop actionable operational plans.
  • Establish success criteria for projects by formulating Key Performance Indicators, qualitative feedback inquiries, and cost/benefit assessments, leading cross-functional teams to achieve desired outcomes in line with corporate expectations.
  • Prepare and deliver clear, data-driven presentations to executive audiences, establishing credibility through well-founded recommendations.

Qualifications:

  • Over 10 years of retail management experience in organizations with extensive store networks of diverse types and volumes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, with a strong background in analyzing complex datasets. Familiarity with Smartsheets is advantageous.
  • Must reside in a complex market as defined by Sephora.
  • A passion for designing and implementing practical, scalable optimizations.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively engage with various levels of the organization, including store leadership and associates.
  • Experience in P&L management and financial oversight, with an understanding of how changes impact different lines of the P&L.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively based on ROI at scale.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to adjust daily responsibilities in response to business needs.

Compensation and Benefits:

The annual base salary range for this position is $124,000 to $165,110. Actual salary will be determined based on various factors, including qualifications, relevant experience, and unique skills. Eligible employees may also receive bonuses.
