Position Overview:

Core Responsibilities:
  1. Formulate and execute a detailed business development strategy tailored for Federal Civilian (FedCiv) agencies, including but not limited to: the Department of Homeland Security, Department of State, Veterans Affairs, and Federal Law Enforcement entities. Regularly update Account Plans.
  2. Discover and pursue new business avenues, encompassing prime contracts, subcontracts, IDIQs, and associated task orders, in alignment with company objectives and capabilities for FedCiv to propel Clarity's growth ambitions.
  3. Identify emerging opportunities and lead or support the capture process for strategic initiatives, from opportunity recognition to proposal submission, ensuring alignment with client requirements and goals.
  4. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including mission vertical (Systems, Data, Cyber) subject matter experts, the Proposal Operations Team, Capture Managers, and others to craft innovative solutions that meet client needs and set our offerings apart.
  5. Remain knowledgeable about industry trends, market dynamics, and the competitive landscape to inform business development strategies and decision-making processes.
  6. Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and meetings to enhance brand visibility and cultivate new relationships.
  7. Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction to business development team members, portfolio and program managers, and others within Clarity, fostering a culture of excellence and ongoing improvement.
  8. Maintain up to 25% billable hours on a contract monthly within the customer community, when feasible, serving as a technical Subject Matter Expert.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree and/or a minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, capture, program management, or related roles within the government contracting sector, focusing on the FedCiv community.
  2. Demonstrated success in identifying, pursuing, and securing government contracts and task orders.
  3. Robust network of contacts within the FedCiv community, including government civilians, uniformed military personnel, prime contractors, and industry partners.
  4. Comprehensive understanding of the federal acquisition process, contract vehicles, and standalone contract opportunities, along with acquisition trends.
  5. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the capacity to effectively engage and influence senior-level stakeholders.
  6. Strategic thinker capable of analyzing market dynamics, developing account plans/strategies, identifying opportunities, and supporting the proposal development process to drive business growth for Clarity.
  7. Able to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and lead cross-functional teams to achieve shared objectives.
  8. Active Secret security clearance is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Master's degree and/or a minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, capture, program management, or related roles within the government contracting sector, with a focus on the FedCiv community.
  2. Proven history of success in identifying, pursuing, and winning large-scale ($100M+) government contracts and task orders.
  3. Domain expertise in one of Clarity's core competencies: Data, Systems, or Cyber.
Clearance Requirement

Active Secret security clearance is mandatory.
