Automotive Condition Evaluator

Position Summary:
The Automotive Condition Evaluator plays a crucial role in ensuring top-notch customer service by meticulously gathering, documenting, and relaying information regarding vehicle appraisals to Buyers, Senior Buyers, and Purchasing Managers for further evaluation. This role also involves assisting with vehicle transfers, engaging in lot merchandising tasks, securing vehicles, and supporting the Merchandising team with various daily operations. Additionally, the Evaluator may take on responsibilities related to wholesale auctions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough vehicle condition evaluations by collecting, documenting, and communicating all necessary details about customer appraisals for Buyer analysis.
- Accurately assess options for customer appraisals and vehicles within the CarMax inventory.
- Capture high-quality and timely photographs of the inventory.
- Support the Purchasing Department in managing inventory and facilitating customer transfers.
- Collaborate with the Inventory and Sales Departments to execute lot merchandising as required.
- Assist with onsite auction activities as needed.
Qualifications:
- A valid driver's license is mandatory.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions, both indoors and outdoors.
- Capable of thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail is essential.
- No prior automotive experience is necessary.
