Position Overview

The Kentucky Personnel Cabinet is seeking a dedicated Risk Assessment Specialist for a shift role within the Administrative Office of the Courts. This position is pivotal in ensuring effective risk evaluation methodologies are applied within the judicial system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and best practices.
  • Evaluate departmental needs regarding the risk assessment tool and oversee its product testing.
  • Drive strategy development and continuous improvement processes related to risk assessment.
  • Deliver accurate risk assessment data to pretrial officers and the courts.
  • Document and facilitate communication concerning risk assessment activities.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity within the risk assessment framework.
  • Perform pretrial officer duties, including affidavit preparation.
  • Analyze and interpret data to identify trends affecting program outcomes.
  • Develop processes to monitor the validity of risk assessments.
  • Implement risk assessment models and methodologies effectively.
  • Produce comprehensive reports and presentations detailing findings related to risk assessment.
  • Communicate complex concepts in a clear and user-friendly manner.
  • Track and report pretrial outcomes and analyze legislative impacts on pretrial services.
  • Foster constructive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Organize and prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

Experience: Minimum of one year in pretrial risk assessment, statistical analysis, or research.

Special Requirements: Must pass FBI clearance for NCIC certification and possess extensive knowledge of pretrial risk assessment methodologies and the Kentucky court system.

Working Conditions

This role involves working in various judicial settings, which may include irregular hours and extensive travel.
