We are in search of a Senior Business Analyst who is enthusiastic about taking ownership in translating both business and technical requirements into effective solutions. Your primary objective in this role will be to utilize data to develop merchandising strategies that enhance the sales process for our associates. This is a full-time, permanent position.
We seek an individual who excels at connecting data to business opportunities and can effectively communicate and influence stakeholders. A degree in business or a related field is required. Experience with analytical software such as Tableau, SQL, and project management is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • 20% Oversee and manage all stages of a project’s life cycle, including feasibility studies, design, implementation, and evaluation; this involves identifying business needs, defining requirements, understanding business impacts, and executing projects.
  • 10% Act as a liaison between merchandising and finance, facilitating collaborative meetings between both departments.
  • 10% Guide and mentor fellow analysts in enhancing their business acumen and analytical capabilities.
  • 20% Serve as a subject matter expert, conducting research and analysis for assigned projects.
  • 20% Manage multiple projects simultaneously, recommending process enhancements and making final recommendations that influence business outcomes.
  • 20% Establish and report on metrics for assigned projects to assess business value.
Reporting Structure:
  • This position reports to the HDQC Manager, Catalog Operations.
  • This role does not have direct reports.
Travel Requirements:
  • Typically requires minimal overnight travel.
Physical Requirements:
  • Most of the time is spent in a seated position with frequent opportunities for movement. Occasionally, there may be a need to lift light items.
Working Environment:
  • Located in a comfortable indoor setting with infrequent and non-objectionable unpleasant conditions.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be at least eighteen years of age.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in developing intricate technology solutions and analyzing feature requirements against system capabilities.
  • Experience in communicating and delivering content to external stakeholders.
  • Ability to identify and manage appropriate content and interactions with third parties proactively.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proven track record of documenting expectations in a clear and presentable manner.
  • Familiarity with various applications and tools, including JIRA, Visio, MS Office, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Knowledge of SQL, relational databases, and various analytics tools.
  • Clear and articulate communication style to collaborate across multiple departments with a consultative approach to address and resolve business challenges for both internal and external customers.
  • Proven success in a team-oriented environment, driving collaborative initiatives.
  • Able to thrive in a role with frequently changing targets and goals.
  • Experience in the retail industry is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience in analyzing and visualizing data through BI solutions like Tableau is a plus.
