About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Raiser's Edge Database Specialist to join our fundraising and development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing our Raiser's Edge database, ensuring data integrity, and providing critical support for fundraising activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Database Management: Manage and maintain the Raiser's Edge database, including data entry, updates, and overall integrity.
  • Query and Reporting: Create and manage queries, exports, and reports to support fundraising campaigns and donor outreach efforts.
  • Donation Processing: Oversee the processing and acknowledgment of all donations, ensuring timely and accurate donor recognition.
  • Data Management Protocols: Develop and implement data management protocols, including regular data cleaning and de-duplication.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to staff on best practices for using Raiser's Edge.
  • Donor Segmentation: Work closely with the development team to segment donor lists and identify potential major gift prospects.
  • Fundraising Event Support: Assist in the planning and execution of fundraising events and campaigns by providing data-driven insights.
  • Fundraising Reporting: Generate and analyze fundraising reports to monitor progress towards goals and identify trends.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to donor data management.
  • System Integration: Collaborate with IT and other departments to integrate Raiser's Edge with other systems and platforms as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience working with Raiser's Edge, including database management and reporting.
  • Fundraising Knowledge: Strong understanding of fundraising and donor management practices.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using Raiser's Edge query, export, and reporting tools.
  • Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining data accuracy.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Raiser's Edge NXT: Experience with Raiser's Edge NXT is a plus.
  • Nonprofit Fundraising: Familiarity with nonprofit fundraising strategies and goals.
