This is a remarkable opportunity to be part of a diverse group responsible for the upkeep of the stunning gardens at PIER 39. As a Landscape Care Specialist, you will collaborate with a small, passionate team to manage all aspects of our lush greenery, including gardening, lawn maintenance, and tree care, while also participating in several seasonal events throughout the year.

We seek individuals with strong gardening and landscaping expertise to help maintain the exquisite landscapes of our waterfront property. Enjoy early morning shifts as you nurture our grounds and witness the breathtaking sunrise over the Bay.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the maintenance of planter beds and containers.
  • Water, fertilize, mulch, and compost as needed.
  • Design and implement seasonal displays and decorations.
  • Manage and repair irrigation systems.
  • Mow and edge lawns to perfection.
  • Prune shrubs and manage tree growth.
Qualifications:

Essential Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in gardening or landscaping.
  • Proficient in using turf and landscaping power tools and equipment.
  • Knowledgeable about plant care, pest management, and invasive species control.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate a vehicle.
  • Must possess a clean driving record.
  • Strong communication skills in English are essential.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks and lift up to 50 lbs.

Compensation: $32.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.

This position is part of a union.
